Being built on a hillside, Hotel Victoria has many steps and slopes leading to various areas of the property.

The villa ample sized room with a sitting area and is housed in an individual one or two story bungalow with a small terrace or balcony. They are located in the gardens and around the pool. Standard rooms and junior suites feature colorful native weavings and hand-painted wood furniture. The standard rooms are located in the main building of the complex and the junior suites (located a short walk from the lobby) afford beautiful views of the valley. All junior suites have cable TV, safety deposit box and mini-bars. The management accepts only two people in a standard room; for a triple, choose a junior suite or villa.

While walking the beautiful grounds is a great pleasure, our staff also provides shuttle service to all areas of the property. We also provide shuttle service, free of charge, to and from Oaxaca’s main square. Although you can make the interesting, picturesque walk down the hill from the hotel to the square without the least bit difficulty, you might want to wait for the shuttle or hire a taxi (about US$2.50) to take you back.

We would spend a good deal of the morning sightseeing and going to the different villages and it was wonderful to come 'home' to the Victoria and lay by the pool and have a margarita.
     After lunch my husband would go back to the pool to take a siesta and I would head back to the main square to peek in the shops and galleries.
     A few evenings we stayed on the main square until quite late enjoying the music and the people.
